Developing a Digital State: Government IT Virtual Conference
In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, Convenzis are committed to providing our public services with current policy updates and the sharing of best practice to help improve collaborative working and practical examples of innovation through these testing times.
Since the introduction of the Government Transformation Strategy (2017), public sector bodies have set out to transform the relationship between the public and state. However, a recent survey found that only 8% of participants are ‘very confident’ in their organisation’s readiness to respond to digital challenges.
2020 has already seen some exciting digital public sector announcements including the publishing of the 2020-2030 Digital Policing Strategy and the Made Smarter Pilot which aims to connect makers of innovative tech with government bodies to help drive digital transformation.
Inevitably AI and automation are going to play a key role in all aspects of future life and business. Quite shockingly it is estimated that only 5% of councils are using Artificial Intelligence, this is set to be an area of rapid growth, the COO of the UK Government stated “The best way to protect the future of local council services and the communities is through the smart use of technology, such as robotic process automation and AI”
The Convenzis Government IT Virtual conference will take a closer look at the implementation of the Government Transformation Strategy over the past 2 years and what else is needed to achieve a fully digital state.
Key areas of discussion at Government IT Virtual:
- Creating, implementing and managing cloud strategies
- Digital skills and training
